What will you experience in Discipleship Counseling? And is it for you? Click here for some help with your decision.
1. A SAFE PLACE and a FACE on GRACE! “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news” (Is. 52:7 ). It is such a privilege to deliver the good news that “…there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1) Every Grace to Glory counselor has experienced the Grace of Jesus Christ, because we needed it! We are well aware of our own brokenness and need of a Savior, and we are so grateful that our sinful pasts and present struggles don’t define us. Instead we are defined by Christ’s righteousness made available to us through the cross, as well as His heart and Spirit that He has given to us. He has not judged or condemned us and neither will you be judged or condemned.
2. Hope. It doesn’t take long for one to realize that “Maybe things don’t have to be the way they’ve always been.”
3. A facilitated journey of discovering the lies that have taken root and have been embraced as true…about you, about God, and about what brings life, as well as an opportunity to embrace what is true. And the Truth shall set you free!
4. A clearer understanding and experience of the cross and what was accomplished by Christ on our behalf. Again, you’ve just got to hear what’s true about you now!
5. An opportunity to embrace Jesus Christ, not only as savior, but as Life. In our brokenness, we are unable to successfully live out the Christian life, but the only one who ever pulled it off is ready to live “it” through us.
6. Rest. The process of discipleship leads to more and more rest as we trust God, not only for what He has finished on our behalf, but to continue changing our lives and doing the work through us.
7. Increasing Glory. As Jesus heals our broken hearts, replacing lies with freedom-bringing truth, our eyes are lifted off of ourselves and our shame and placed on the “One with whom we are one.” God loves to show off how good He is through a broken and surrendered vessel.

This sculpture by Dean Allison, called “Born Again,” is a great picture of the process through which God wants to take every child of His. The crystal upper body represents the new, pure Spirit that we are given when we put our faith in Jesus. Christ is our new and true identity. The bronze that is being peeled off represents our old flesh and its sinful habits. With every lie that is replaced with truth, more of our new identity, “Christ-in-us,” can be seen, and the more glory Jesus brings to His Father through us. As you can see, it’s not a pleasant process, but the man is looking up to Heaven to the One who is responsible for overcoming the flesh and bringing Himself glory
There are two ways to experience this journey with us:
1) One-on-one with a Grace to Glory Discipleship Counselor
2) In a small, support group type setting with a facilitator who will lead the group through Christ-Life Ministries’ “The Ultimate Journey. (Three 13-week phases offered in the Fall and Spring.)
